Only the Best and Most Experienced
Schilling Robotics has maintained a core staff of
key management, technical, and production staff since its
founding. In recent years, the company has expanded significantly,
adding large numbers of personnel to this core team, many
of whom have extensive background in the subsea industry.
Tyler Schilling :
Chairman and chief development officer
Tyler Schilling founded Schilling Robotics in
1985 with the vision of providing productive tools
to remotely perform work in the deep ocean. As chairman and chief development officer, he sets the company's vision and guides product innovation and development.
Before co-founding the company with Wes Gerriets,
Mr. Schilling worked for Moller International
as director of VTOL development, where he led
development activities for a passenger aircraft
capable of vertical takeoff and landing. He also
worked as technical director for development and
testing of specialized oceanographic equipment,
including remote manipulators, for Hydroscan,
Inc. of San Diego, California.
Mr. Schilling attended the management program
at INSEAD, widely recognized as one of the most
innovative and influential business schools in
the world. He holds three patents on subsea devices
and has accumulated a wealth of experience and
expertise in offshore operations. He is a sought-after
speaker at technical society meetings, where he
frequently addresses developments in subsea packaging
and subsea control systems.
He is an active member of the Marine Technology
Society (MTS) and is involved with the Davis Explorit
Science Center, an organization committed to involving
people in science experiences that touch everyday
lives. |

phil otto : President and Chief Executive Officer
Philip Otto joined Schilling Robotics in 2008 as president and CEO. He also serves on the company's board of directors.
Mr. Otto received his B.S. in engineering from Yale University and his M.B.A. from Harvard University. As both CEO and chief financial officer of a variety of technology-oriented growth companies, he has extensive experience in restructuring and expansion of companies, mergers and acquisitions, and deal-making and marketing activity throughout Europe and Asia. He is charged with immediately broadening the senior management team at Schilling. |

Wes
Gerriets : Vice President of Sales and Marketing,
Manipulators
Wes Gerriets was one of the original founders
of Schilling Robotics, along with Tyler Schilling,
in 1985. He has overseen sales and marketing since
the company’s inception, and he is currently
responsible for sales and marketing activities
for Schilling Robotics manipulator products.
His primary responsibility is to maintain and
improve the company’s manipulator market
share. He does this by maintaining a close relationship
with customers, identifying new opportunities,
and providing strategic direction for pricing,
product developments, new markets, and financial
resources.
Mr. Gerriets earned a BA degree in economics
from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS).
He has completed coursework toward an MA degree
in business administration, also at CSUS. He is
active professionally in the Marine Technology
Society. |

Jason
Stanley : Vice President Systems Sales/Gulf of
Mexico Regional Manager
Jason Stanley has over 18 years of subsea-related
job experience, with emphasis on offshore operational
engineering and management.
Mr. Stanley joined Schilling Robotics in 2001
as a systems integration engineer, and was promoted
to director of remote systems application in 2002,
assuming responsibility for investigating new
opportunities for the company’s Remote Systems
Engine and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) product
lines. In 2003 he was promoted to vice president
of sales and marketing for remote systems, and
in this position he oversees sales and marketing
activities for standard and engineered-to-order
systems, including electrical and hydraulic ROVs.
He is also responsible for building a presence
in existing and new markets.
As regional manager of the company’s Gulf
of Mexico office, Mr. Stanley has developed a
strategic office in one of the world’s most
important offshore energy centers.
Before joining Schilling Robotics, Mr. Stanley
worked as a project manager and project engineer
at Perry Slingsby Systems. In these roles, he
was responsible for managing the build programs
for several of the company’s most successful
vehicles. Before joining Perry Slingsby Systems,
he was responsible for operations support for
the ROV fleet of Ceanic Corporation (now part
of the Acergy Group), including requirement specifications
and management of build programs for all new ROV
system purchases. He held numerous positions at
Ceanic, including field engineer, ROV supervisor,
ROV pilot, and ROV pilot/technician.
Mr. Stanley earned a BS degree in ocean engineering
from Texas A&M University in College Station,
Texas, and has taken courses in computer information
systems at the University of St. Thomas in Houston,
Texas.
He is active in the professional community through
the Marine Technology Society (MTS), the Association
of Diving Contractors (ADC), the Society of Underwater
Technology (SUT), the International Marine Contractors
Association (IMCA), the Society of Petroleum Engineers
(SPE), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). |

Steve
Callori : Vice President of Engineering
Steve Callori has over 28 years of experience
in engineering and technical management. He joined
Schilling Robotics in 1994 as an engineering project
manager, and has been head of the Engineering
Department since 1997. As vice president of engineering,
he is responsible for managing and overseeing
all engineering department activities, including
implementing department policies and procedures,
reporting on engineering performance, and directing
engineering resource assignments.
Before joining Schilling Robotics, Mr. Callori
held various engineering positions for 8 years
at Teledyne Electronic Technologies. Mr. Callori
also worked for FMC Corporation, a leading manufacturer
of military vehicles and defense equipment, in various engineering and project management positions.
Mr. Callori earned his MS degree in engineering
management from the University of Santa Clara,
California, and his BS degree in mechanical engineering
from the University of California, Davis. He is
registered as a professional mechanical engineer
in the state of California and is a certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma Principles. |

Randy
Dusseau : Vice President of Manipulator Manufacturing
Randy Dusseau joined Schilling Robotics in 1989
as a design drafter, and has held a variety of
technical and managerial positions, including
director of information services and vice president
of customer service. He assumed the position of
vice president of manipulator manufacturing in
2006.
In his current capacity, Mr. Dusseau oversees
all planning, manufacturing, and machine shop
activities for remote manipulator products.
Before joining Schilling Robotics, Mr. Dusseau
worked at Alphametric Systems and Price Technical
Services, where he supervised drafting staff and
created CAD drawings of mechanical equipment.
Mr. Dusseau received a BS degree in information
systems from the University of Phoenix, Sacramento,
CA. He has also taken coursework in Oracle database
administration, Impromptu administration, and
Oracle SQL&PL/SQL. He is certified in strategic
planning. |

Mike Gyorfi
: Vice President of Systems Manufacturing
As vice president of manufacturing for systems
and engineered-to-order products, Mike Gyorfi
oversees all planning and manufacturing activities
for remotely operated systems, including remotely
operated vehicle (ROV) systems. In this capacity,
he works with program managers to ensure on-time
and within-budget delivery, and also works with
the engineering department on design issues.
Mr. Gyorfi joined Schilling Robotics in 1990
as vice president of quality assurance with the
initial responsibility of creating and managing
the company’s quality assurance (QA) program.
He was promoted to vice president of systems manufacturing
in 2006.
Before joining Schilling Robotics, Mr. Gyorfi
served as the quality assurance manager for Houston
Fearless 76, an aerospace company that manufactured
photo reconnaissance equipment for the SR-71 and
U-2 aircraft. He established and monitored quality
operating procedures based on MIL-I-45208A and
MIL-Q-9858A, and he also oversaw purchasing and
competitive bid procedures for all company projects.
Mr. Gyorfi has completed studies in mechanical
engineering, analog and digital control circuitry,
metallurgy, and manufacturing technology. He achieved
Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma for
manufacturing in 2005. |

George
Shirreffs : Managing Director, Schilling robotics Ltd., North Sea
George Shirreffs was part of the launch team
for Schilling Robotics’ Aberdeen, Scotland
facility six years ago. He is responsible for
providing high-quality service and support for
customers in the North Sea region, including the
United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Mr. Shirreffs
also supports the company’s Norwegian customers,
in conjunction with Schilling Robotics’
local agents, by providing field service personnel,
spare parts, and training. The North Sea regional
office has recently expanded support to also include
West Africa.
Mr. Shirreffs holds a Graduate Certificate in
Management Studies from The Robert Gordon University
of Aberdeen. |
